Infanta Ana Mauricia
The story
The six-year-old Spanish Infanta Ana Mauricia stands stiff in an embroidered gown, hung with relics, a jeweled cross, a coral teething branch, and protective amulets. Painted in 1607 by the court painter. She would grow up to be queen of France and the mother of Louis XIV.
