Woman in Neapolitan Costume
The story
A young woman in a richly embroidered costume holds a fowl in her lap. The painting is hard to read — the clothes look peasant but the fabrics are luxurious. Painted around 1635, it once hung in a Spanish viceroy's palace alongside other pictures of similar female types.
