Three Poplar Trees in the Autumn

Slender poplars along the Epte near Giverny in their autumn gold and pink. Painted in 1891, part of Monet's Poplars series. He worked from a flat-bottomed boat that held several canvases at once, so he could track the trees as the light and weather changed.
