Noon - Rest from Work (after Millet)
The story
Two harvesters doze beside golden haystacks at midday. Van Gogh based this on a print of a drawing by Jean-François Millet that his brother Theo had sent him, translating the black-and-white original into his own yellows and blues. Painted in 1890.
