The story
The Sikh leader Jai Singh Kanhaiya holds court in a finely drawn assembly scene. Painted around 1780 by Purkhu of Kangra, the head court painter to Raja Sansar Chand, whose workshop made many such portraits of rulers and Sikh chiefs.
