Wheat Fields after the Rain (The Plain of Auvers)

The wide plain east of Auvers-sur-Oise after summer rain, fanning out in zig-zag patches of yellow, green and lilac. Van Gogh described the view to his mother as "boundless as the ocean." Painted in July 1890, days before his death.
