The story
A view of the Frisian village of Midlum in the Netherlands. In 1662 the young Abraham Beerstraaten toured Friesland with his father, sketching towns including Midlum, Workum, Sneek, Leeuwarden, and Franeker. A seventeenth-century Dutch landscape attributed to him.
