The Meeting of Saints Joachim and Anne at the Golden Gate in Jerusalem

Joachim and Anne, the parents of the Virgin Mary, meet at the Golden Gate of Jerusalem in a story from outside the Bible. This is one of Cavallino's earliest known paintings, likely made in Naples in the mid-1630s when he was just starting out.
