Portrait of a Gentleman

A formal oil portrait of an Indian gentleman of standing, his costume and jewels carefully observed. Raja Ravi Varma painted many such commissioned portraits alongside his mythological work, which kept him in steady employment with the princely courts of late-1800s India.
