Olive Trees: Bright blue sky

Gnarled silver olive trees stand against a vivid blue sky, their crooked trunks built up in restless strokes of green, lilac and ochre. Painted in 1889 during Van Gogh's year at the Saint-Paul asylum, where he came back to the olive groves in every season.
