Enclosed Wheat Field with Peasant
The story
A peasant works in a walled wheat field. Van Gogh painted this view from his window in October 1889 at the Saint-Paul asylum in Saint-Rémy, where he was a patient. He returned to the same walled enclosure across the seasons.
