Le Pont à Le Pecq, André Derain, 1904-1905

Goods are unloaded between barges and horse-drawn carts at the river port of Le Pecq on the Seine. Painted in 1904-05, the foreground already uses the flat, vivid colour Derain would soon become famous for, while the background still has the dotted touch of an older style.
