The story
A large 1881 oil recording the welcome at Trivandrum for the Duke of Buckingham, Governor of Madras, on his 1880 visit. The Maharaja of Travancore and his younger brother greet the Duke with British officers in attendance. Painted by Raja Ravi Varma with his brother and given to the Duke as a souvenir.
