Bharata and Shatrughana paying homage to Sage Bharadwaja at his hermitage

As the painting represents, Bharata and his family members, sage Vashishtha, Ayodhya's army and people reach the hermitage of sage Bharadwaja to get information of Rama, Sita and Lakshmana. Suiting to his regal position the artist has painted a royal tent house for distinguishing it and its occupants from the hermitage of a sage. Not only a royal tent, the artist has represented also different activities most of them related to court life. In this fortified camp sage Bharadwaja and sage Vashishta are shown seated face to face with the other royal personages.
