The story

The heroine Miyuki from a Japanese puppet-play senses someone coming and quickly tucks a treasured paper fan into her sleeve. Painted in 1914 in ink and colour on silk by Uemura Shoen, one of her masterpieces of bijinga — pictures of beautiful women.
