Stacks of Wheat (End of Summer)

Two cone-shaped haystacks stand in a stubble field as low summer light dyes their flanks gold and lavender. Monet painted the same stacks over and over in every weather and at every hour — one of the first artists to make a series like this the whole point of the work.
