Sistine Madonna

The Virgin steps down through parted curtains carrying the Christ child, Saint Sixtus and Saint Barbara kneeling on either side, two famous cherubs at the bottom. Painted in 1512 — Raphael's masterpiece in the German Renaissance tradition, now in Dresden.
