Petit breton à l'oie

A small Breton boy stands with a goose, the scene drenched in rich color and curving outlines. Gauguin painted it in 1889 at Pont-Aven, in the months before he sailed for the South Pacific — already pushing a simple farm scene toward something more dreamlike.
