Copy of Manet's Olympia

Gauguin's own painted copy of Manet's scandalous reclining nude Olympia, made in 1891 directly from the original in a Paris museum before he left for Tahiti. He later took a photo of the picture with him to the Pacific and used it as the starting point for several of his island nudes.
