The story
The wrathful Buddhist deity Fudō Myōō shown as a fanged mask, his furrowed brow and stylized hair full of protective fury. Drawn in ink in the style of Hokusai's school. Fudō was an immovable guardian of the Buddhist teaching, a favorite subject in Edo-era devotional art.
