Interior, after Dinner

Two women sit at a round table and a man stands at the mantle, lit only by a hanging ceiling lamp. Painted in Étretat over the winter of 1868-69 while Monet was staying with his partner Camille and their newborn son. One of only two night-time interiors Monet ever made.
