Capture of Ricketts' Battery
The story
Confederate troops overrun a Union artillery position on Henry Hill during the First Battle of Manassas, 21 July 1861, wounding Captain James Ricketts in the close fighting. Sidney E. King painted this 1964 reconstruction partly from a sketch made during the war by Alfred Waud.
