Bosque azul - Joaquín Clausell

A Mexican forest interior painted in unnaturally saturated blues — the tree trunks and the stream below sharing the same intense cool tone, set against patchy greens and yellows. Clausell, a painter and journalist, made this in 1909. The effect is half-dreamlike, half-electric.
