Babur Nama
The story
A miniature illustration from the Baburnama, the memoirs of Babur, founder of the Mughal dynasty. Painted around 1598 at Emperor Akbar's court in the controlled, jewel-like style of his imperial workshop. Around 140 of these tiny paintings illustrate the manuscript, mixing Persian and Indian traditions.
