Amrita Sher-Gil Denise Prouteaux 1932 Paris

A portrait of the French art critic Denyse Proutaux, a close friend Sher-Gil had met as a student in Paris. Proutaux sat for her more than once. Sher-Gil was barely nineteen when she painted this in 1932.
